LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. — Late last year, the La Porte County Board of Commissioners passed an updated list of items that will be prohibited in La Porte County Courthouses beginning on Feb. 1. “The new prohibited list of items was recommended to the commissioners for consideration by a ‘Courthouse Security Committee’ that was comprised of county officials who had been meeting for several months,” the sheriff’s office said. “The new list of prohibited items aligns with rules set forth by the Indiana Supreme Court.” The following items will be prohibited beginning Feb. 1: Pen Knives Carpenters Knives Metal Kitchen Knives
